Configuring lot management overrides

Use the Lot Management Override page to create an override record for a specific version of the slotting management record. This override record allows you to modify the configuration of its final level records for certain days of the week or a date range, which takes precedence over that parent master slotting management record's configuration for which you are creating this override record. Use the Record View tab to create one or more overrides for a parent slotting management ID record, along with the specifics of when the override must occur.

Note: Override configurations are either one of these but cannot be both:
  • Day(s) of the week
  • Date Range: Date Range overrides take precedence over Day(s) of the Week overrides.
You cannot create another override record for the same slotting management ID if any of the date range or the days of the week are repeated with overlapping time as well.

When an override is created, system makes copies of all the final level records that exist for the original slotting management record you reference for the override and associates them to the override record. To see these records and update them as necessary for the override period, you must navigate to the Arrangement tab of the Override screen. See Using Arrangement tab. Edits made here only affect the override’s copies of these records.

When final level records are created for a slotting management record which is already referenced on one or more Slotting Management Override records, the system creates copy(ies) of the new Final Level record for the Override(s).

Similarly, when final level records are deleted for a slotting management record which is already referenced on one or more Slotting Management Override records, the system takes care of deleting corresponding records from the Override(s).

To create an override record:

  1. Select Fleet > Lot Management Override.
  2. Specify this information:
    Description
Specify the description for the override record.
    Lot Management ID
Specify the specific slotting management record you want to override.
    Type
Specify either the Day(s) of the Week or the Date Range.
    • If you specify the Date Range, you must also specify the Start Date and the End Date.
    • If you specify Day(s) of the Week you must also specify at least one day.
    • Start Time and End Time are required regardless of Type.
    Status
Specify Active to use the override record.
  3. Click Save Record to create the override record. After the record is saved, the system creates a copy of the final level records (ones which have Levels Associated check box clear) that exist for the specified Lot Management ID record and links them to this new Override record so that the final level records are available for editing in the Arrangement tab, and independent from the original slotting management record.
Note: When final level records are created for a slotting management record which is already referenced on one or more Slotting management Override records, the system creates copy(ies) of the new Final Level record for the Override(s).
