Managing fractional bookings

Use the Fractional Bookings page to view and confirm fractional bookings, update the status on day of delivery, and to quickly and efficiently create delivery/collection manifests. Vehicle reservations are already created in the Reservation page with status set to Reserved with Fractional Booking check box enabled.

Use the Notifications tab to view/add notifications that must be sent to the renter either prior to or during the rental period. These notifications include notifications generated from batch jobs. Notifications updated in this pop-up are not saved in the profile.

To manage fractional bookings:

  1. Select Reservations > Fractional Bookings.
  2. Specify this information:
    Request Status
    Specify if the request for the vehicle to be delivered to the renter can be completed or not. You can specify Unconfirmed, Confirmed, or Undeliverable.
    Location
    Specify the location. All locations for which the user has authorization are displayed.
    High Priority
    If this check box is selected, the field High Priority Level is set to the value Fractional Booking on the View Reservation page and the reservation is treated as a high priority reservation.
    Notes
    Specify important notes relating to the fractional booking.
  3. In the Delivery / Collection Details section, specify the information that you require. See additional details about these fields:
    Delivery / Collection Address
    Specify the address where the vehicle must be delivered to for rental and picked up or collected from after the vehicle is returned by the renter.
    Vehicle
    Specify the vehicle that is requested by the renter. The Reservation Status field is set to Pre-Rent by the system. Pre-rent is a status which indicates that the vehicle is assigned, but renter is yet to take possession of the vehicle. For example, the vehicle is being delivered, washed and so on.
  4. In the Delivery Status section, specify this information:
    In Transit
    If this check box is selected, the vehicle is on the way to be delivered to the renter.
    Delivered
    If this check box is selected, the vehicle is delivered to the renter.
  5. Click Save Record to save the information.
  6. Alternatively, click Modify to open the Reservation page where you can modify the reservation details. This button is enabled when you select a record.
