Filing vehicle incident report

Use the Vehicle Incident Report page to log incident reports for rental vehicles that involves police and/or damage to other vehicles/people/property and so on, while vehicle was under renter's possession. Damages to rental vehicle itself is specified separately in Damages screen. See Specifying damage charges.

Note: Damages are recorded using the Global Codes and Code Types defined in tab to associate damage records created in ResRent. If the relevant data changes in Fleet, the change must also be mirrored in the ResRent so that matching data exists between Fleet and ResRent.

To file vehicle incident report:

  1. Select Fleet > Vehicle Incident Report.
  2. Specify the information that you require. Use the DamagesRental screen’s Damages tab to associate damage records tab for the rental agreement specified in the incident report on the record view tab.
  3. Click Save Record to submit the information.
