Using lot check

This screen displays final level records where capacity is 1, taking into account overrides as appropriate per current date/time and day of week along with associated vehicle information if occupied. You have the ability to change the default location(s) if/as needed. This screen allows you to confirm that what the system shows is in the location’s parking stalls is actually correct or not, by providing methods to confirm as well as ways to log discrepancies so that the system is in sync with the vehicles actually present. You also have the ability to initiate an inspection request from this screen as well -which is sent to Fleet/EAM and is used for engine light on, flat tire, bird droppings on windshield and so on.

Use the Lot Check page to:

  • Filter the record based on values that you specify.
  • View the stalls that are occupied or vacant based on user's default session location. You can also change the location.
  • View the slotting check history for a slot using the hyperlink in the Last Checked On field.
  • Batch Confirm one or more selected records using the right-click option.
  • Confirm if vehicle is parked in the correct slot as per system records.
  • Log discrepancy if vehicle is not parked in the correct slot as per system records. Use the Log Discrepancy pop-up to specify the details of the vehicle that is currently present in the stall.
    • The fields in this pop-up are automatically populated by the system with associated vehicle data if possible, when you specify the vehicle VIN or license plate.
    • If you do not specify values in the fields, system considers this a vacant stall.
    • You can also specify an unknown VIN that’s not in the system yet and if the VIN becomes known on future slot confirmations.

To perform a slot check:

  1. Select Fleet > Lot Check.
  2. Specify the information that you require. See additional information about the fields below:
    Discrepancy
Select this check box to indicate if a vehicle was parked in a place where it was not recommended to be parked. If you select this check box, the hover-over feature displays the information where the vehicle had been recommended for parking.
    Frequent Exchange
If this check box is selected, system tracks the number of exchanges that occur for the VIN in the Rental screen due to Customer Preference. Once three exchanges occur due to Customer Preference, this check box is selected by the system for the vehicle. If this check box is selected, and you slot a VIN or confirm that a VIN is parked in lot/stall, system prompts the user to create an Inspection Request. After the prompt is displayed to the user, the check box is cleared, and the count is reset to 0.
  3. Click Confirm if vehicle is parked in the correct slot as per system records.
  4. Click Log Discrepancy if vehicle is not parked in the correct slot as per system records.
