Searching for a renter profile

Use the Renter Search pop-up to search the profile in the external CRM system:

A new profile is created in ResRent for each reservation with a one to one relationship between reservation and profile. No profile match is carried out in ResRent. For example, Bob Smith has two reservations in ResRent, Bob Smith will also have 2 profiles created in ResRent by the system. Install parameter CRMACT must be enabled, for the system to look up the profile from external CRM.

You can search for a renter profile from the following screens:

  1. Select Reservations > Customer Care.
  2. Alternatively, select Reservations > Reservation.
  3. On the List View tab, double-click the renter reservation record you want to work with.
  4. Click Renter Search. The Renter Search page is displayed.
  5. All the search criteria that you specify work as the AND operator meaning that all criteria that you specify has to match the information in the renter profile. The search brings back all records that match the criteria that you specified. You must select one profile, the information of which, you want to copy into the Reservation screen. Specify the search criteria such as the following:
    Last Name
    Specify the last name of the renter for whom you want to retrieve the profile.
    First Name
    Specify the first name of the renter for whom you want to retrieve the profile.
    Email Address
    Specify the email address associated with the renter.
    Phone Number
    Specify the phone number associated with the renter.
    Postal Code
    Specify the postal code associated with the renter.
    Loyalty Number
    Specify the loyalty program number of the renter profile.
    DL#
    Specify the renter's driving license number.
    Applicant #
    Specify the applicant number.
    Passport Number
    Specify the passport number of the renter for whom you want to retrieve the profile.
  6. Select CRM Search to search an external CRM system.
  7. Click Search.
  8. Select the renter profile record.
  9. Click OK. The renter record is updated with the renter profile information and the Record View tab is displayed.
