Adding notifications to reservation

Use the Notifications icon/button to view and add notifications to a vehicle reservation. Use this tab to view/add notifications that must be sent to the renter either prior to or during the rental period. These notifications include notifications generated from batch jobs. Adding and removing notifications in this tab do not update profile comments. You can also access this tab as a pop-up from the Pickup and Return pages.

When a renter has made a reservation that includes the vehicle delivery to a specific location, a notification is sent by the system when the vehicle is placed in position for the renter to pick up. To use this functionality, you must:

  1. Configure Message Type Delivery for the Location, in the Location Configuration > Messages screen.
  2. Select the reservation that must send the delivery notification.
  3. Click Notification icon/button and select Message Type as Delivery to add the notification for delivery.

To add notes to a reservation:

  1. Select Reservations > Reservations > Notifications.
  2. Alternatively, select Reservations > Fractional Booking > Notifications.
  3. Alternatively, select Reservations > CSA/HES > Notifications.
  4. Alternatively, select Rentals > Rental > Notifications.
  5. On the List View tab, select the vehicle reservation record to work with and click the Notes tab.
  6. In the Note Details section, specify this information:
    Message Type
    Specify the type of vehicle reservation notifications.
    Description
    Specify the description.
    Note
    Specify the note that needs to be sent to the renter.
    Source
    This field indicates the source or where the note originated.
  7. Click Submit.
