Creating walk up reservations

Use the Walk Up page to create vehicle reservation for renters who arrive at the location without a reservation.

To create walk up reservations:

  1. Select Rentals > Walk Up.
  2. Specify the information that you require. See additional details about these fields:
    Status Detail
    Specify the status detail. See Status and Status Detail relationship.
  3. In the Linked Reservations section, specify the information that you require. The rates are automatically refreshed if you make any changes in this section. See additional details about these fields:
    Brand
    Specify the brand for which you are creating the reservation.
    Pickup Location
    Specify the location from which the vehicle must be picked up by the renter, or the location that must provide delivery/collection service to the renter.
    Serviced By Location
    By default, this field is disabled and displays the service location that must provide the vehicle to the Pickup Location as the Pickup Location does not have vehicles at the location. The Serviced By Location value is populated by CPQ. For example, in case of fractional bookings, the pickup location can be the private airport or private air terminal where a car must be delivered. The Serviced By Location is the location that must provide the vehicle from their inventory of fleet.
    Location Search
    Click Location Search to search for the nearby vehicle rental locations.
    Pickup Date
    Specify the date on which the vehicle must be picked up by the renter, or delivered to the renter.
    Days
    Specify the number of days for which the vehicle is rented. If you specify the Pickup Date and the number of days, the Return Date is automatically calculated by the system. Alternatively, if you specify the Pickup Date and the Return Date, Days are automatically calculated by the system.
    One Way Rental
    If this check box is selected, the Return Location of the vehicle can be different.
    Primary Contact
    Specify the primary contact information for the service location.
    Company Name
    Specify the company name associated with the CDP#.
    Fractional Booking
    Fractional Booking check box is hidden by default. This check box is enabled by CPQ to indicate if the location is a fractional booking location. If this check box is enabled, the Delivery/Collection section is displayed by the system.
    R2B
    The Rent to Buy check box is set by the renter or is set by the system if the reservation is received from the Rent2Buy website. ResRent communicates this flag to CPQ.
    Arrival Type
    Specify if the renter is arriving by airplane, bus,train and so on.
    Arrival Time
    Specify the flight arrival, bus arrival time and so on.
    Departure Type
    Specify if the renter is departing by airplane, bus,train and so on.
    Departure Time
    Specify the flight departure, bus departure time and so on.
    Service Provider
    Specify the service provider name such as airline, bus company, train company and so on that the renter is using for traveling. For example, Delta, United Airlines, Amtrak, Greyhound.
    Service Number
    Specify the flight number, bus number, train number and so on.
  4. In the Renter section, specify the information that you require. See additional details about these fields:
    DL#
    Specify the driver's license number.
    DL Expiration Date
    Specify the expiration date on the driver's license.
    Age
    Specify the age of the renter.
    Reason for Rental
    Specify the reason for which the vehicle is rented. For example, tourism.
    CDP#
    Specify the corporate discount plan number to avail any discounts.
    Renter Not Driver
    If this check box is selected, it indicates that the driver is disabled.
    Platinum LOA
    Select this check box if you have a Loyalty Number on the reservation with a Loyalty Tier designated as Platinum.
    Tax ID
    Specify the tax identification number. Tax Id is initially populated from the Renter Profile. The renter profile is only updated when the value is changed on the screen. If the renter profile value is changed, the value on the Customer Care page is not automatically changed.
    Applicant #
    Specify the applicant number. The profile for the applicant number is retrieved from external CRM (Customer Relations Management) system.
    Applicant PIN
    Specify the applicant Personal Identification Number (PIN).
    TNC #
    Specify the Transportation Network Company identification number.
  5. In the Additional Drivers section, specify the information that you require. See additional details about these fields:
    Add
    Click Add in case you want to specify additional drivers for the vehicle.
  6. In the Vehicle section, specify this information:
    Vehicle Type
    Specify the type of vehicle such as compact, intermediate, full size, show all and so on.
    Note: 
    • Value Show All is available only on the Reservation page and indicates to Configure Price Quote (CPQ ) to display all available Vehicle SIPP for the Pickup Location selected. You can configure vehicle types in the Fleet > Vehicle Type page. You cannot configure a Show All vehicle type.
    • Vehicle SIPP of ANCONL associated to the vehicle type ANCON allows you to create a reservation just for an value added service item without renting a vehicle, if needed. The ANCON and ANCONL do not have vehicle rate associated with them.
    Vehicle SIPP
    Specify the brand and size of the vehicle. Specify Show All in the Vehicle Type field to view all the Vehicle SIPP available at the pickup location selected. Vehicle SIPP of ANCONL associated to the vehicle type ANCON allows you to create a reservation just for an value added service item without renting a vehicle, if needed. The ANCON and ANCONL do not have vehicle rate associated with them.

    Quote
    Click to re-quote the vehicle rate. Quotebutton is enabled after the rate is initially selected or after any of the rate impacted fields such as age, CDP number, pickup location, vehicle SIPP and so on, are modified.
  7. In the Value Added Services section, specify the information that you require. See additional details about these fields:
    Custom Value Added Service Dates
    Specify the custom value added service dates in case you want to return the value added service items outside the vehicle reservation dates.
  8. In the Rate Details section, specify this information:
    Rate Plan Code
    The rate plan based on which the rates are calculated for the renter. The value in this field is populated by the CPQ. You can change the value.
    Confidential Rate
    If the Confidential Rate check box is selected by the CPQ the rates are not displayed. If this check box is selected, system does not print HCC line. If the Confidential Rate check box is not selected by the CPQ the rates are displayed.
  9. In the Payment section, specify the information that you require. See additional details about these fields:
    Voucher Type
    Specify the voucher type which is a payment type. Vouchers reduce the outstanding amount based on the type of voucher selected. For example, One Trip Travel Order, Full Credit Voucher and Limited Value Voucher and so on.
  10. Click Save Record to create the reservation.
