Using exit gate screen

Use the Exit Gate page to complete the following tasks when exiting a lot:

  • To scan, verify and record the assigned vehicle in the renter's rental agreement.
  • To install the value added services as specified in the rental agreement or to add the value added services as requested by the renter when exiting a lot.
  • To record vehicle damages. The default value in the Type field is set to Condition at Pickup.
Note: Damages are recorded using the Global Codes and Code Types defined in ResRent. If the relevant data changes in Fleet, the change must also be mirrored in the ResRent so that matching data exists between Fleet and ResRent.

To complete the tasks at the exit gate:

  1. Select Rentals > Exit Gate.
  2. Scan the vehicle at the exit gate to populate the values in the vehicle section.
  3. In the Vehicle section, specify the information that you require. See additional details about the fields below:
    Mileage
    Specify the current vehicle mileage.
    Fuel
    Specify the current fuel level.
    Recommended Amount
    The upsell amount recommended by the system. You can override the recommended amount which cannot be below the Floor Amount unless Allow Upsell Floor Override check box is selected for the User Group of the user.
    Floor Amount
    The minimum upsell amount recommended by the system.
  4. In the Renter section, specify the information that you require. See Renter.
  5. In the Value Added Services section, select the service that you require. See Value Added Services.
  6. Click Confirm to confirm the scanned vehicle.
