Managing Data Send definitions

With these procedures, you can save a Data Send definition for reuse or load a previously saved definition.

Saving a Data Send definition

  1. Open Q&A Cloud Excel Add-In.
  2. On the Query and Analysis tab, click Data Send.
  3. In the Data Send window, click the Options tab.
  4. In the Save Definition As section, select one of these options:
    Saving option Description
    Internal Definition Select the definition to save within the current workbook.
    External Definition Specify the file name and location to save the definition as a .lsd file.
  5. Click OK.

Loading a Data Send definition

  1. Open Q&A Cloud Excel Add-In.
  2. On the Query and Analysis tab, click Data Send.
  3. In the Data Send window, click Load Definition and select one of these options:
    Loading options Description
    Internal Definition Select from the list of definitions saved in the current workbook.
    External Definition Browse to the .lsd file and click Open.
  4. Verify that the definition is loaded with all previously saved field mappings, IDM association information, and Drillback Cell settings.
  5. Click OK.
    Note: If you load a definition that was saved before the IDM integration became available, the Send to IDM check box is cleared, and no IDM attributes are displayed.
