Updating the Q&A Cloud client from machine level using command line

This topic describes the steps required to perform machine level update of Q&A Cloud Excel Add-in using command line.

  1. Open your VDI environment as an administrator user.
  2. Open Infor OS Portal.
  3. In the Search field, specify Query & Analysis and select it.
  4. To download the software and connection profile, click the Download client installer and Download environment connection profile links.
  5. Make sure you have uninstalled Q&A Cloud client software.
    Verify if all files have been removed from C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Infor\QAA and C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\Infor\Query and Analysis.
  6. Click Windows Start and specify cmd.
  7. Right click on Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator.
  8. Go to C:\Users\User\Downloads.
  9. Specify QAAClientSetup.exe /z"environment_connection_profile.json" LOCAL_MACHINE.
  10. Click Next and then Install.
    The updated Q&A Cloud Excel Add-in has been added to Microsoft Excel.
