The Report Designer window

The Report Designer window has two main sections: Output and layout.

The Output section displays the output items of a Summary Report or Detail Report definition.

In the layout section you specify different sections of the report and how they are formatted. Sections include Header, Details, Total and Subtotal. You can add, remove and filter sections, rows and columns. Formatting includes, font, cell borders, background colors and alignment.

By default, column headers and a total are included.

A third section displays the details of the currently selected section and a quick access toolbar where users can undo or redo an action, access Format Cells or Format Painter windows, clear selected formatting or select the font and font size from the drop-down menu.
