Example of setting different levels for headers and subtotals

Complete the steps in this example to set different levels for headers and subtotals:

  1. Create a detail report and select these outputs: Account Code, Base Amount, Accounting Period, and CA/Description.
  2. Select Report Style > Designerto open Report Designer.

  3. In the Designer section, right-click and select Edit > Edit Sections. The Sections window is displayed.
  4. Select Header/Subtotal.
  5. Specify 2 in the Set Level field.
  6. Specify the expand status of Level 1 as Expand All.
  7. Specify the expand status of Level 2 as Collapse All.
  8. Specify the level for Account Code as Level 1.
  9. Specify the level for CA/Description as Level 1.
  10. Specify the level for Accounting Period as Level 2.
  11. Click OK to generate the report.
