Summary Link
You create a Summary Link to return a single, aggregated value.
Summary Links extract and summarize reference information for one or more records using an extraction type of Sum, Minimum, Maximum or Count.
Summary Link formulas can be edited using the query definition dialog to return the same information against different data. For example, a worksheet can include the total and average cost of purchase orders using a supplier address code as the reference link. If you change the address code then recalculate, the total and average purchase orders costs for the newly entered supplier are returned.
