Absolute and relative cell addressing

When you reference a cell in a Query Definition form field, Q&A DataLink Server attempts to predict the correct absolute and relative addressing syntax.

That is, it locks both the column and row using a dollar sign '$' before the 'X' and 'Y' values, for example $B$4. To lock the column, use $B4. To lock the row, use B$4. This is based on the direction in which you copy the cells.

The cell reference is displayed in the Filter From/To fields. Press F4 to cycle between relative and absolute cell reference combinations, for example, $B$4, B$4, $B4, B4.
