Convert Detail Pages to Responsive Layout

Use the Convert Detail Pages to Responsive Layout task to convert classic detail pages to the responsive layout that is used in the modern InfoViewer pages.

The Batch Manager task is one of three methods for converting detail pages:

  • An update module automatically converts all existing detail pages when responsive layout is enabled.
  • Saving an individual page in classic mode automatically triggers conversion for that page.
  • The Batch Manager task is for ad hoc conversions, such as after running the Configuration Transfer Tool.

When you run this task, eligible detail pages are converted so that they use the IDS responsive grid layout and are displayed correctly in responsive pages such as the Service Request InfoViewer and Work Order InfoViewer.

Setup

To run this task, you first enable the feature toggles that are required for responsive pages. At a minimum, these feature toggles must be enabled:

  • Modernized User Interface Controls
  • Responsive UI - Application, License, and Case InfoViewers
  • Responsive UI - Service Request
  • Responsive UI - Work Order InfoViewer

Invocation

This task has no parameters. It can be scheduled or invoked manually from the Batch Manager page.
