Configuration Transfer Security

This feature enables additional security for the Definition Manager and Configuration Transfer Tool in multi-tenant environments that prevents site-to-site and package-to-site transfers. Customers wishing to perform these kinds of transfers must instead use Configuration Management in the CloudSuite Self Service portal.

When this feature is enabled on a site that is the target of a transfer, the system does not allow transfers to that site. When this feature is enabled on a site that is the source of a transfer, the system removes access to the Configuration Transfer Tool but retains access to the Definition Manager, including both System Transfer and Data Tagging modes. However, System Transfer does not progress beyond the Specify Configurations step for either site-to-site or site-to-package transfers so that such transfers can't be performed.

Multi-Factor Authentication Add New Method

This Civics portal security feature allows portal users to configure multiple verification methods, such as email and SMS, for their multi-factor authentication. This ensures continued access even if the primary MFA method becomes unavailable, such as if a phone is lost.

When enabled, this feature introduces several UI changes in the Profile widget. The widget now includes an Add New Method button in the header as well as a Set as Default button. During login, if the primary method fails, users are prompted to use their fallback method.

When enabled, this feature also introduces changes to the Portal User InfoViewer, which is accessed via the Contact and Property Browser. A new grid is added to display all configured MFA methods for the user, indicating which method is set as their default.

Note: After this toggle is enabled, it cannot be turned off. We encourage you to carefully consider the potential impacts and consequences of enabling this feature.
