Affected indexes
For example, a pavement resurfacing activity might improve the condition of a roadway, resulting in an increase in pavement condition index values.
When adding or updating a work order, affected indexes are recalculated if these conditions are met:
- The Generate Updated Indexes check box is selected for the work order's activity.
- The work order has a valid asset.
- The work order is completed and has a completed date.
- The work order is not canceled.
- Indexes have not already been generated for the work order.
Operations and Regulations will calculate a new index value for each inspection index for that activity and asset type. The index formula calculates the new value based on the most recent index data.
For linear asset types, the index value is a calculated average of the most recent indexes along the length of the asset. For the calculation to complete successfully, inspections must have been completed for the entire length of the asset. For linear inspection indexes, the length covered by the index is indicated by its associated inspection.
