Adding an Orchestrator symphony to an event handler

You can configure and execute Orchestrator symphonies directly from “committed” events in Operations and Regulations business objects, enabling automated workflows at key points in business processes.

Using this feature, you can select and configure workflows from the Workflow Manager, and map business object properties to workflow input parameters. As a result, you can now automate more complex business processes by having workflows execute automatically when records are added or updated and committed.

You can attach Orchestrator symphonies to the AfterAddCommitted event handler or the AfterUpdateCommitted event handler.

  1. Select System > Agency Personalization > Workflow Manager.
  2. Under Infor Business Objects or Agency Business Objects, browse to the correct object.
  3. Right-click the AfterAddCommitted node or the AfterUpdateCommitted node and select Add Orchestrator Symphony.
  4. Specify this information:
    Name
    Specify a name for the symphony.
    Credentials
    Select the API Gateway credentials to use when calling the symphony. The credentials are defined in an API Gateway authorized app.

    Symphony
    Select the Orchestrator symphony that the event will trigger.
    Input Parameters
    In the grid, specify the required input parameters for the symphony.
