Authorized applications

There are two types of authorized application:

• O&R: An O&R authorized application is an alternative way to authenticate to the Operations and Regulations site. When you add an O&R authorized app, Operations and Regulations generates a client ID and a secret code that can be used for authentication. For example, a call to Rest Services or Web Services can use a client ID and secret instead of user credentials.
• API Gateway: API Gateway authorized applications store credentials for authorized apps in Infor API Gateway. Operations and Regulations can then use the stored credentials to connect to other services through API Gateway.
