User management
If the user does not exist in Operations and Regulations, the user and associated employee are created. If the user exists, then the user and employee record are updated.
See the Infor Operations and Regulations Multi-Tenant Confiuguration Guide for more information.
The Operations and Regulations user record controls licensing and access to specific features and functionality within the system. You can use either the User License form or the User InfoViewer to assign licenses to users.
See Assigning licenses to users.
For access control, Operations and Regulations uses a role-based model. Each Operations and Regulations user is assigned to one or more access roles, and each role specifies a set of permissions that are granted to the user.
See Access control.
Synchronizing user deactivation from Infor OS to Operations and Regulations
When a user is deactivated or deleted in Infor Federation Services (IFS), the change is automatically synchronized to Operations and Regulations. You do not need to manually remove user access in Operations and Regulations.
IFS sends a Sync.SecurityUserMaster BOD to Operations and Regulations whenever a user's status changes to Disabled or Deleted. When Operations and Regulations receives this BOD, these actions are performed automatically:
- The employee record is expired. The employee's expiration date is set to the current date.
- All security roles assigned to the user are released.
- The user's role administrator privilege is revoked.
- The user's report author privilege is revoked.
