GenAI features

Infor Operations and Regulations includes GenAI tools to help users complete tasks more efficiently. These tools must be enabled for your tenant in the Infor CloudSuite Self Service Portal.

To enable these tools, navigate to CloudSuite Self Service Portal and select Features in the menu. Select GenAI from the Feature Type list, then select your tenant in the Tenant field. When you select your tenant, the GenAI Embedded Experience grid is shown. Select the Enable check box for IPS in the grid to enable the embedded experience.

Note: IPS stands for Infor Public Sector, which is the former name of Infor Operations and Regulations. This will be updated in a future release.

The embedded experience for Operations and Regulations includes these features:

  • If the modern UI for Operations and Regulations is enabled, two buttons are added to rich text fields in Operations and Regulations, such as comments fields:
    • Generate Content: Uses generative AI to generate text for the field based on a prompt entered by the user.

      Generate Content

    • Summarize Content: Uses generative AI to summarize the text in the field.

      Summarize Content

    Note: To enable the modern UI, the Modernized User Interface Controls feature toggle must be turned on.
  • An AI mode option is added to the enhanced search feature.

    The AI mode is optional so the large language model (LLM) isn't always used to search. To use the AI mode, turn on the AI Mode switch in the Search Results window.

  • A Summarize button is shown at the top of each InfoViewer. This provides an AI-generated summary of the current record.
