GIS synchronization

The GIS synchronization tools in Infor Operations and Regulations are used to keep records in your database, such as addresses and assets, in sync with the corresponding records in your GIS. The mobile app can use these same tools to access records in Infor Operations and Regulations based on the GIS object IDs.

To configure this functionality you must specify the GIS mapping that you want to use when you add a feature layer in the Rest Services GIS configuration. Use the syncMapping attribute of the LAYER node to specify the mapping for the layer.

Users of the mobile app can then select map features in that layer that are identified only by object IDs, and the specified mapping will be used to get the correct records in Infor Operations and Regulations based on their primary keys.

There are some limitations. This functionality is not supported if a layer is used in more than one GIS mapping in Infor Operations and Regulations. If you do want to use the same layer for multiple mappings, use data filters on the mappings to limit the features that are included. For example, a GIS layer might include several different asset types, so the mapping in Infor Operations and Regulations must use a filter to select a single asset type.

If you want to use maps offline, you should also ensure that sync integration records are downloaded.
