Configuring mixed work lists

To configure mixed work lists, you must define your menu groups and specify which profiles will use mixed lists.

Configuring menu groups

To define menu groups, use the Menus node in the Mobile configuration. Menu groups use the same items as the standard groupings, but menu groups are defined as children of menu items rather than parents.

Each Item node can have one or more child Menu Groups nodes, and each Menu Groups node has one or more Menu Group nodes as children. The parent menu item will be assigned to each of the child menu groups. The name of the menu group is specified by the Id attribute of the Menu Group node.

For example, these items all have a child Menu Group node where the Id attribute is set to My Work:

  • MyAssetInspections
  • MyCaseInspections
  • MyBusinessLicenseInspections
  • MyTradeLicenseInspections
  • MyBuildingInspections
  • MyPlanningInspections
  • MyProjectInspections
  • MyUseInspections
  • MyServiceRequests
  • MyWorkOrders

This means that all of these items will be assigned to the My Work menu group. You can use the OverrideTitle attribute of a Menu Group node to specify an alternative title for the parent item when it is displayed in the specified menu group.

Configuring profiles

Mixed work lists can be enabled for specific profiles by setting the IsMixedList attribute of the correct Profile node in the Mobile configuration. If the value is set to True, then the menu for the profile will show menu groups rather than the standard groupings.

Out of the box, Infor Operations and Regulations Mobile includes two profiles that are configured to use mixed work lists: Inspector and Supervisor. These profiles will load all open records that are assigned to the current user when the user logs in to the mobile app.
