Creating an asset

You can also create assets from the map.

See Map functions.

  1. On the home screen of the mobile app, tap the Action button (three vertical dots) and select Create Asset.
  2. Specify this information:
    Asset Family
    Select the asset family, such as Sewer or Street.
    Asset Type
    Select the type of asset that you are creating.

    You must first select an asset family. The asset type list then shows the simple asset types that belong to that family.

    Note: You can only add simple assets from the mobile app, not network, segment, or linear assets.
    Asset ID
    Specify the ID for the new asset.

    Depending on the system configuration, the asset ID might be generated automatically if you do not enter one.

  3. Tap Save.
