GIS Data Miner

The GIS Data Miner fetches and binds data from the GIS data source into Operations and Regulations detail pages at defined events.

Data returned by the Data Miner is read-only; it cannot be used to update data in the GIS.

In some cases the GIS data is merely displayed in Operations and Regulations at runtime, without being stored in the database. For example, the Data Miner can be used to display GIS information on asset detail pages.

In other cases the GIS data is actually stored in agency tables in the Operations and Regulations database. This functionality is used by the Customer Service and CDR modules. For example, the Data Miner can be used to populate agency tables for application details.
