Publishing the map

  1. In ArcMap, create a map, click Add Data, select the connection to the corresponding database that you created in ArcCatalog, and click Add.
  2. Select each database feature dataset that you want in your map and click Add.
  3. Click List by Drawing Order.
  4. Right-click the Layers node and select Properties.
  5. Click the Coordinate System tab and verify that the map uses the correct coordinate system.
  6. Update the name of each layer. The layer names must match the names used in the MapDrawerDatasets configuration.
  7. Save the map.
  8. Select File > Share As > Service.
  9. Select Publish a service or Overwrite an existing service and click Next.
  10. Specify a name for the service and click Next.
  11. Specify the folder to which you are publishing the service and click Continue.
  12. Click the Capabilities node. Select the Feature Access check box and clear all the other check boxes.
  13. Click the Feature Access node. Select the Extract and Sync check boxes.
  14. Click Analyze.
  15. Click Publish.
