Common control attributes

These attributes are common to all types of controls. Some controls also have additional attributes.

Attribute Description
AccessItem List of permissions in Access Control that control access to this control. Specify one or more access IDs in a comma-separated list.
Bind Property that the control is bound to. This should be a property of the view's model.
CssClass CSS class that is used to style the control. Stylesheets can be found in the Resources\Mobile folder in the Rest Services application directory:
  • IOSStyles.css for iOS
  • Styles.css for Android
  • WindowsStyles.css for Windows
DataType .NET data type for the control.
DisplayLabel Indicates whether the title text is displayed next to the control.
EditAccessItem List of permissions in Access Control that are required to edit the control. Specify one or more access IDs in a comma-separated list.
Id Unique identifier for the control.
NoDescriptor Indicates whether the Mobile Metadata service will create a descriptor for this control.
OnClick Event to execute when the user taps the control.
Profiles List of profiles that have access to this control. Specify one or more profile IDs in a comma-separated list.
ReadOnly Indicates whether the control is read-only.

Sort Binds Used to override the default sort behavior when the control is used as a grid column. Specify the properties of the parent view's model that will be used for sorting. You can enter one or more properties in a comma-separated list.

Tag The Tag attribute can be used to link a report to a control, such as a Report button. The report should be defined under General Reports in the Reports Manager. For a Report button, set the Tag attribute to the display name of the report, and set the OnClick attribute to OnOpenReport.
Title Title text for the control.
Value Default value to be displayed in the control.
Visible Indicates whether the control is visible.
