Installing Rest Services

  1. Run Setup.exe in the root of the product download to open the installer.
  2. On the first screen, click Install.
  3. On the second screen, enter your Infor Operations and Regulations license key.
Enter the product key that you received from Infor in the fields provided. By default, the installer uses a secure Internet connection to import your licenses. Alternatively, if you previously downloaded your license file, select License File and click Browse to open the license file. Then click Next.
Note: The option to import licenses through a secure Internet connection is not supported in versions before Infor Operations and Regulations 11.2 202101. For older versions you must download the license file.
  4. In the Setup tree, click Install Infor Operations and Regulations Rest Services and select Install.
  5. Specify this information:
    Installation Folder
Enter the path to the folder where the Rest Services will be installed.
    Shared O&R Installation
Select this check box if you are installing the Rest Services on the same server as Infor Operations and Regulations.
    O&R Application Path
If you selected the Shared O&R Installation check box, enter the path to the Infor Operations and Regulations application directory.

In a shared installation, the Rest Services will use the dlls in the Infor Operations and Regulations application folder. In a stand-alone installation, separate copies of the dlls are installed along with the Rest Services.

    See Stand-alone installation.

    Data Provider
Enter the data provider that the Rest Services will use. If this is a shared installation, you can select the provider name from the list. Otherwise you must specify the provider.
    1. Click Add next to the Data Provider list.
    2. Select Oracle or SQL Server from the Type list.
    3. Enter the name of the data source in the Description field.
    4. Enter your database settings.

For an Oracle database, specify the name of the Oracle host server, the service name for the database, the port number, and the user name and password.

For a SQL Server database, enter the name of the database server, the database name, and the administrative user name and password.

    5. Click OK.
    Encryption Key
If this is a stand-alone installation, enter the encryption key for your Infor Operations and Regulations site.

To find your encryption key, open the Hansen8 configuration in the Configuration Editor and select the Agency node.

  7. Click Next.
  8. In the Deployment Id field, specify the deployment ID for the environment group.
An environment group consists of one or more instances of Infor Operations and Regulations and related applications such as the Batch Manager and Rest Services.

  10. Specify the Redis service that the Rest Services will use to communicate with Infor Operations and Regulations.
You must specify the host server name, port number, and password for the Redis service.
  11. Click Next.
  12. Click Install.
The installer shows status messages as it completes the installation process. When installation is complete, the installer indicates whether the process was successful, and whether there were any errors. You can click View Log to open the installation log in the Hansen Log Viewer.
