Overview

Infor Operations and Regulations Mobile is a common framework for mobile apps that connect to the Infor Operations and Regulations database. It is designed to support multiple apps on different platforms, such as Android, Windows, and iOS.

Three versions of the Infor Field Inspector mobile app are currently available: one for Android devices, one for Windows, and one for iOS.

Using the app, field workers can connect to the Infor Operations and Regulations database from their mobile devices. Mobile users can then complete their assignments in the field, such as inspections, service requests, and work orders. Infor Operations and Regulations Mobile can also be configured to download a subset of data to the mobile device so that the app can be used without an Internet connection.

The app uses Infor Operations and Regulations Rest Services to connect to the database. To deploy Infor Operations and Regulations Mobile, you must install Rest Services and configure your site. You can then install the app on your agency's mobile devices.

In addition to providing access to Infor Operations and Regulations, the Rest Services define most of the structure and content of the app. The definitions are stored in configuration files on the server and then downloaded to the app through the Rest Services. Upon installation, the Rest Services include configurations that define a standard app. You can modify the app by editing these configurations.
