Adding a global asset detail page

A global detail page is shared by multiple asset types. You can limit a detail page to a selected group of asset types, or you can add it for all asset types.

  1. Select Asset Management > Assets > [asset module].
  2. On any tab, under Configuration, click Detail Page Setup.
    The same page is used to define details for all asset types, so you can open it from any tab.
  3. In the Assets tree, select the root node.
  4. Click Add above the Asset Detail Pages grid.
  5. Use the check boxes under Display Conditions to select the asset types that will use this detail.
    Select Display for All Asset Types to show the detail for all assets, or use the check boxes below it to select the asset types that you want.
  6. In the Detail Page Title field, specify the title that is displayed on the tab.
    Note: Each detail page must have a unique title.
  7. Load a detail page into the Name of Detail Page field.
    Click the popup button to the right of the Name of Detail Page field and select one of these options:.
    • Create New Page: Select to use a new page. Then click Next, and use the Page Builder to create your page.
    • Use Existing Page: Select to use an existing page. When you click Next, you can choose a detail page from the Details Page Search window.

    The Name of Detail Page field will show the detail that you either created or selected.

  8. Optionally, specify a condition formula in the Detail Page Formula field.
    The formula determines whether the detail is shown in the InfoViewer for a particular asset.
  9. Click Save.
