Configuring a Crystal embedded report

An embedded Crystal report is an .rpt file that is displayed in the embedded Crystal Reports viewer in Infor Operations and Regulations. You also have the option of showing Crystal reports as PDFs, Word documents, HTML pages, or plain text.   1. Select System > Agency Personalization > Reports Manager.
  2. In the Reports tree, browse to the report that you want to edit.
  3. Click the report node.
  4. Specify this information:
    Display Text
    Type the name that will be displayed for this report when the Reports button is clicked.
    Report Type
    Select Crystal Embedded.
    Report Output
    Select the output method you want to use.

    You can select one of four options. If you select CrystalReport, Infor Operations and Regulations will show the report in the embedded Crystal Reports viewer. Selecting PDF, WordDocument, or HTML will show the report in the selected format. If you select PDF or WordDocument, users can also save the PDF or Word doc to their local machines.

    Report Location
    Specify the location of the report.

    The report location is the directory in your file system where the report file is stored. If you select the Use Default File Location check box, Infor Operations and Regulations uses the path that you specified in the Default Path for Crystal .rpt files field under Global Report Settings. You can also clear the Use Default File Location check box and specify a different location in the Base Path field.

    To specify a base path, you can select Enter URL and type in a path, or select Select PreConfigured URL and choose the path from a drop-down list. The list shows all paths that have been specified for existing Crystal reports in the Reports Manager.

    File Name
    Specify the file name of the report. This should be the complete name of the report file, including the .rpt extension.
    Connectivity
    This field is on the Parameters tab. It indicates whether the data source for the report is an Infor Operations and Regulations database or some other database. If you select Non-Infor Operations and Regulations Database, the report will get the data source from the Crystal report file.
  5. Add parameters to the report as required.
  6. Click Save.
    Infor Operations and Regulations updates the report with your changes. If you changed the report's display text, the new name is displayed in the Reports tree.
