Expiring records and deleting features

You can use GeoAdministrator to expire the Operations and Regulations records associated with one or more selected map features. You can also optionally delete the selected map features.

Note: When you expire a record, Operations and Regulations enters the current date as the expiration date. Records expire at midnight on the expiration date, so the record will still be active in the system until the next day.
  1. Select the map features for the records that you want to expire.
  2. Click Expire Selected O&R Records on the GeoAdministrator tab.
The Delete GIS Features / Expire O&R Records dialog box opens.
  3. Select Delete selected GIS features and expire linked O&R inventories or Expire linked O&R inventories only.
  4. Click OK.
GeoAdministrator expires the selected Operations and Regulations records and, depending on the option you selected, either deletes the corresponding map features or leaves them on the map.

If GeoAdministrator is unable to delete records, an error message is displayed explaining the reason. For example, you can't expire point assets if they're being used as endpoints for network assets.
