Creating linear assets
For linear assets, such as a sewer mains, storm mains and channels, or water mains, you can sketch networks of mains and nodes in ArcMap and create both the features (points and lines) and the Infor PS inventory in one step.
A linear asset is defined based on beginning and ending nodes, each of which is a separate point asset in your inventory. For example, a sewer main record might represent the stretch of pipe between two manholes. When you use the sketch tool to create a linear asset, you're creating three features in ArcMap (two point features and a line feature), and three asset records in Infor Operations and Regulations. You can also create a linear asset using existing endpoints.
