Adding a valuation detail to an application

A valuation detail represents the estimated cost of a specific construction item for a building, project, or use application. Each valuation detail indicates the item's size or quantity and the valuation setup that will be used to calculate the item's cost.

  1. Load the application you want in the Application InfoViewer.
  2. Select the Valuations tab.
  3. Click Add above the grid.
  4. Load the valuation setup that Infor Operations and Regulations will use to calculate the cost of the valuation detail.
Click the popup button to the right of the Use Group, Construction Type, or Modifier field, select a valuation setup, and click Select. Infor Operations and Regulations automatically fills in the use group, construction type, modifier, and multiplier from the valuation setup.
  5. In the Building Area/Unit field, specify the construction item's size or quantity.
If the Use Square Footage check box is selected for the valuation setup, the value that you specify will be added to the total square footage of the application, as displayed on the Job Description tab of the InfoViewer.
  6. Click Save.
To calculate the valuation of this item, Infor Operations and Regulations multiplies the value in the Building Area/Unit field by the selected valuation setup's multiplier and modifier. Infor Operations and Regulations then closes the dialog box, adds the valuation detail to the application, and shows it in the grid. Infor Operations and Regulations also updates the application's calculated valuation and, if applicable, square footage, depending on the valuation setup that you used.
