Configuring the service
- To open the Infor Device Client Configuration utility, run InforDevices.ConfigurationUtility.exe in the folder where you installed the device support.
- Click New Profile.
- Specify this information:
- Profile Name
- Specify a name for the profile.
- URL

Specify the URL of the Infor Operations and Regulations site.
For a multi-tenant site you must use the anonymous Rest Services URL, which is specified in ION API. Select the Infor Operations and Regulations API and find the URL in the Endpoints grid. The anonymous Rest Services URL is the one that ends with
/apianon
.
- Enter the login information for the Infor Operations and Regulations site.
For an on-premises site you can use your Infor Operations and Regulations credentials or an authorized app.
For a multi-tenant site you must use an authorized application.
- To use credentials, select Credential and specify a valid user name and password in the IPS Username and IPS Password field.
- To use an authorized app, select Authorized Application and specify the ID and secret in the Client ID and Client Secret fields.
For an on-premises site that has single sign on enabled, you must use Windows authentication. Select the Enable Windows Authentication check box.
By default, the Windows credentials of the logged in user in Infor Operations and Regulations are used. If you want to use a specific account for authentication, select the Specify Windows Account check box and specify the credentials in the Domain, Username, and Password fields.
- Click Save.
- To test the connection to Infor Operations and Regulations, click Test Connection.
- Under Device Configuration Service, select your profile from the Profile list.
- Click Edit Channel.
- Specify a channel ID in the Channel field, or click Generate Channel ID to generate a GUID.
- Click Save Channel.
