Defining delinquency actions
Delinquency actions represent the steps that an agency takes to deal with delinquent accounts, such as sending delinquency notices or shutting off account services. Infor Operations and Regulations will apply the actions defined for a milestone to accounts when they reach that milestone. For example, if a milestone has a service request type associated with it, Infor Operations and Regulations will add a request of that type to each account that reaches the milestone.
To define delinquency actions, expand the node for the milestone you're working with in the tree and select the node for the type of action that you want to add. When you select the action node, Infor Operations and Regulations shows a grid in the right panel. To add your action, click above the grid, enter your information, and click .
In some of these grids you can use the Condition Formula column to enter a formula that determines whether Infor Operations and Regulations will perform the action, and you can select one of four different events for the action from the list in the Perform On column:
- Decrement from this milestone
 - Entry or Increment to this milestone
 - Resolved due to full payment
 - Resolved from formula or Below Amount

For example, if you select Entry or Increment to this milestone for a service request, Infor Operations and Regulations will create the request when an account reaches this milestone. If you select Decrement from this milestone, the service request will be created when an account is decremented out of the milestone.
The node under a delinquency scheme shows a summary of all actions that are defined for that scheme. All information under the node is display-only.
You can define these types of actions for each milestone.
- The node lists request types that Infor Operations and Regulations will add to accounts that reach this milestone.
 - The node lists one-off charges that Infor Operations and Regulations will add to accounts that reach this milestone.
 - The node defines alerts that Infor Operations and Regulations will add to accounts that reach this milestone.
 - The node defines notices to be sent to accounts that reach this milestone. Each notice type is based on a correspondence process setup. You can create a new correspondence process setup while adding a notice to a milestone, or you can select an existing one. You can send the appropriate type of notice at each milestone, such as a friendly reminder at the first milestone and a more sternly worded notice at a more advanced milestone.
 - The node lists log entries that Infor Operations and Regulations will add to accounts that reach this milestone.
 - The node is used to define deposit charges that will be added to accounts that reach this milestone. Deposit charges must first be defined as line item types in Line Item Setup.
 - The node defines one-off penalties that will be assess to accounts that reach this milestone.
 - Use the node to assign credit points when accounts reach this milestone. Note that credit points are assigned to the primary account contact rather than the account record. Using Credit Rating Setup, you can define a series of credit rating levels based on accumulated points. Points are added for adverse events such as late payments or bounced checks, so a higher number of points indicates a worse credit rating.
