Initiating a needs analysis run

  1. Select Asset Management > Advanced Asset Management > Asset Analysis.
  2. Click Initiate Needs Analysis.
  3. Specify this information:
    Analysis Period (Years)
    Specify the number of years you want to cover in the analysis run.
    Primary Model
    Specify the name of the primary decision model that you want to use for the analysis run.
    Secondary Model
    Optionally, specify a secondary decision model for the analysis run. The secondary model is used to conduct a second needs analysis based on the results from the primary model.
    Description
    Enter a description of the analysis run.
    Asset Groups
    Add one or more asset groups for the analysis to the grid.
    Note: If the asset groups that you select include any linear assets, such as roadways, you can enter dynamic segmentation rules.

  4. Click Next and select the check boxes for the information that you want to include in the analysis log.

  5. To start the analysis run, click Begin Analysis.
    Infor Operations and Regulations completes the analysis run and opens the Needs Analysis InfoViewer.
