SENSITIVEDATA node

The SENSITIVEDATA node of the Hansen8 configuration defines how Infor Operations and Regulations stores credit card and social security numbers in the database.

Note:  To comply with PCI security standards, we recommend that you do not store sensitive data in your database. The SENSITIVEDATA node was added in the 8.3.0 (201404) release of Infor Operations and Regulations, so you may have existing credit card numbers in your database if you're upgrading from an older release. Because the default is not to store credit card numbers, the system will delete all credit card numbers in your database when you upgrade your system.

The SENSITIVEDATA node can have these attributes:

Attribute Description
Credit Card Indicates how credit card number are stored in the database. You can select one of these options.
  • Full: The full credit card number is stored.
  • Last4: Only the last four digits of the credit card number are stored.
  • None: None of the credit card number is stored.

The default for credit card numbers is None.
SSN Indicates how social security number are stored in the database. You can select one of three options.
  • Full: The full social security number is stored.
  • Last4: Only the last four digits of the social security number are stored.
  • None: None of the social security number is stored.

The default for social security numbers is Full.
