Scheduling a group project in the calendar

You can schedule group project work orders by adding them to employees' calendars from the Group Project InfoViewer.

  1. Open a group project in the Group Project InfoViewer.
  2. Select the Schedules tab.
  3. Click the Add button above the Employees grid.
    The Resource Calendar popup opens.
  4. To look up employees, enter your criteria in the search fields above the calendar and click Employee Search.
    The weekly calendar view shows the calendars of all employees who match your search criteria.
  5. To schedule group project work orders, select one or more available time slots for one or more employees in the weekly calendar view.
    The duration of each assignment is set to the default value in the CalendarManagement configuration, such as two hours.

    The start and end dates for each work order are recorded in the Scheduled Start and Scheduled Finish fields in the Work Order InfoViewer.

    You can drag and drop to reschedule assignments, or click and drag either end of the time slot to change the duration of an assignment.

    Note: You can also see a monthly view of an employee's calendar on the Month tab, but the information on this tab is display-only. Use the Week tab to schedule assignments.
  6. Click Save.
    All of the selected employees and time slots are added to the Employees grid. The assignments are added to the employees' calendars.
