Authorized applications
Authorized applications are used for authentication in Infor Operations and Regulations.
There are two types of authorized application:
- IPS: An IPS authorized application is an alternative way to authenticate to the Infor Operations and Regulations site. When you add an IPS authorized app, Infor Operations and Regulations generates a client ID and a secret code that can be used for authentication. For example, a call to Rest Services or Web Services can use a client ID and secret instead of user credentials.
- ION API: ION API authorized applications store credentials for authorized apps in Infor ION API. Infor Operations and Regulations can then use the stored credentials to connect to other services through ION API.
