Search indexes

The Search Ingestion task in the Batch Manager creates the search indexes that the enhanced search feature uses, and populate them based on the records that are currently in your database.

For a new implementation, run the Search Ingestion task once and wait for it to complete.

Then schedule the Search Ingestion task to run at regular intervals to keep the indexes up to date based on the latest changes. We recommend scheduling this task to run every five minutes.

Information about the existing search indexes is shown in the Search Status grid on the System Information page. Click the Refresh button above the grid to load the indexes.

You can click Delete above the Search Status grid to clear the search indexes. You must then run the Search Ingestion task again to rebuild them.
