Creating a field mapping catalog

Before you can create any field mappings in GeoAdministrator, you must create a field mapping catalog. A catalog is a container for a set of field mappings. You can create multiple catalogs so that you can set up different mappings for different purposes.

  1. Click Preferences on the GeoAdministrator tab.
  2. On the Field Updates tab, click Field Mappings Catalog.
  3. In the Field Mapping Catalog dialog box, click Add.
  4. Specify this information:
    New catalog name
    Specify a name for the catalog.
    Copy From
    If you want to copy the mappings from an existing catalog, select the correct catalog from the list.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Click Update to save the new catalog, or click Save & Set Default to save the catalog and make it the default.
