GeoAdministrator Batch QAQC

The GeoAdministrator Batch QAQC (BQS) tool is used to automate the data synchronization and QAQC processes. These processes can involve very large datasets, so you may want to schedule them to run after hours.

You can use the BQS tool to configure batch jobs. You can then run them from a command line or schedule them in the Windows Task Scheduler. Each configuration specifies the type of process that you want to run, the database records and map features that you want to work with, and a field mapping catalog that defines how the two datasets are related.

For example, to synchronize addresses you would indicate which GIS layer corresponds to the Infor Operations and Regulations ADDRESS table, and select the correct field mapping catalog. The field mappings link specific columns in the Infor Operations and Regulations table to specific fields in the GIS layer, such as indicating which GIS field corresponds to the ADDRESS.AREA column. You can also use a SQL statement to select the records you want to work with.

There are three general types of processes that you can configure:

  • GIS to Infor PS: Transfers data from the geodatabase to the Infor Operations and Regulations database. This can involve both synchronizing existing records and creating new Infor PS records for map features in the geodatabase.
  • Infor PS to GIS: Transfers data from the Infor Operations and Regulations database to the geodatabase. Again this can involve both synchronizing existing records and creating new map features for Infor Operations and Regulations records. This option only creates point features in the GIS.
  • Sync: Synchronizes records based on the ownership defined in the field mapping catalog. Each field mapping indicates which system is the owner of the data in that field, also known as the system of record.
