Synchronizing QAQC results

After you have performed a QAQC test, you can use the QAQC Results dialog box to clean up any data inconsistencies by synchronizing the records. To synchronize data, select one or more records in the results list, right-click, and select Synchronize Record(s).

For GIS orphans and new GIS versions, the Synchronize command creates Infor Operations and Regulations records and links them to the map features. GeoAdministrator shows the In Sync icon when the records are created successfully.

See Versioning.

You can also use the sketch tools to create GIS features for Infor PS orphans. For example, you might find Infor PS orphans for which you want to create address features on the map.

For changed keys, bad data, and extended field mismatches, you must indicate which database has the correct data before you synchronize the records. For changed keys and bad data, use the Primary Fields Direction column in the results grid to indicate which value you want to use.

You can right-click in the Primary Fields Direction column and select either From GIS to Infor PS or From Infor PS to GIS to indicate in which direction you want to copy the data. For example, selecting From Infor PS to GIS for a changed key copies the key from the Infor Operations and Regulations database to the geodatabase.

For extended field mismatches, use the Extended Fields Direction column to indicate how you want to synchronize the data. In this case you have three options: From Infor PS to GIS, From GIS to Infor PS, and By Ownership. Selecting By Ownership directs GeoAdministrator to use the value from the database that is designated as the owner in the field mapping catalog.
