Expiring records and deleting features

The Delete button on the GeoAdministrator toolbar can be used to expire the Infor Operations and Regulations records associated with one or more selected map features. You also have the option of deleting the selected map features. You cannot create any new records in Infor Operations and Regulations that reference an expired record.

Note: When you expire a record, Infor Operations and Regulations enters the current date as the expiration date. Records expire at midnight on the expiration date, so the record will still be active in the system until the next day.
  1. Start an ArcMap edit session.
  2. Use any of the ArcMap selection tools to select one or more features that you want to delete.
  3. Click Delete Selected Infor PS Features.
GeoAdministrator shows a dialog box asking if you want to delete the map features and expire the Infor Operations and Regulations records, or if you only want to expire the records in Infor Operations and Regulations.
  4. Select either Delete selected GIS features and expire linked Infor PS inventories or Expire linked Infor PS inventories only.
  5. Click OK.
GeoAdministrator expires the selected Infor Operations and Regulations records and, depending on the option you selected, either deletes the corresponding map features or leaves them on the map. If GeoAdministrator is unable to delete records, an error message is displayed explaining the reason. For example, you can't expire point assets if they're being used as endpoints for linear assets.
