Reversing flow for a linear asset

You can use GeoAdministrator to reverse the flow of a selected linear asset, such as a sewer or storm main. The "from" node is considered the upstream node, and the "to" node is downstream. When you reverse the direction of flow, GeoAdministrator switches the two nodes, making the former "from" node the new "to" node, and vice versa.

  1. Start an ArcMap edit session.
  2. Use any of the ArcMap selection tools to select a linear asset in your map.
  3. Click Flip Line Features in the GeoAdministrator toolbar.
GeoAdministrator switches the "from" (upstream) and "to" (downstream) nodes in the linear asset record and updates the corresponding record in your GIS attribute table. The updated linear asset is then displayed in the Infor PS Viewer.
