Creating a group of new applications
You can create one or more new applications based on an existing application. For example, you might want to create a batch of applications that have similar application information but different locations. The new applications can have the same site as the current application, have no specified site, or have a site that you either specify manually or select on a map.

Load the application you want in the Application InfoViewer.
Note: You can also create a group of applications after starting a new application. Click the Group Add link after saving the new application.
- Click Action and select Group Add.

Specify this information:
- Create as a Group
- Select this check box if you want the new applications to belong to an application group. When you select this check box, the Group field is displayed. Use this field to specify an existing group or to specify the name of a new application group.
- Application Type
- Specify the type of application that you want to add. The type of the current application is filled in automatically, but you can specify another application type.
- Create Link to Source
- Indicates whether the applications will be linked as children to the current application.
- Copy Information
- Select the check boxes for the information that you want to copy
to the new applications.
For example, you can copy application data, details, and attachments to the new applications.
Note: The ability to copy attachments is only supported if you are using an IPS provider in EDM Setup. For an IPS provider, group add will create new links to any existing attachment records in the ATTCHMT table that are associated with the source record.For all other EDM providers, group add does not create links or copies of the attachments because the information needed to link an attachment to an application is stored in the EDM provider, not the database.
- Copy Links
- Select the check boxes for the links that you want to copy to the new applications.
- Primary Site
- Select the option that indicates how you want to select the
primary sites for the new applications.
You can select Copy Primary Site, Enter Primary Sites, or None.
If you selected Copy Primary Site or None, specify the number of applications you want to create in the # to Create field.
If you selected Enter Primary Sites, you can specify the primary sites for the new applications manually in the grid under Primary Site, or you can click Map Drawer and select Show Building Application to choose sites from the map. Infor Public Sector will add an application for each primary site you select.

Save.
Infor Public Sector creates the new applications using the information you indicated and assigns them the initial milestone from the specified application type. A dialog box is displayed specifying the number of applications that were created. You can use the Application InfoViewer to view and edit these applications.
