Creating a group of new license applications
You can create a group of new licenses based on an existing license. You can copy selected information from the existing license to the new licenses, and you can link the licenses in a parent/child relationship. You also have the option of adding the new licenses to a license group, although this is not required.

Load the license you want in the License InfoViewer.
Note: You can also create a group of licenses after starting a new license. Click the Group Add link after saving the new license.

Open the License Group Add screen.
- If you're using the Summary tab, click Group Add in the Quick Links panel.
- If you aren't using the Summary tab, click Action and select Group Add.

Specify this information:
- Create as a Group
- Select this check box if you want the new licenses to belong to a license group. When you select this check box, the Group field is displayed. Use this field to specify an existing group or to enter the name of a new license group.
- License Type
- Specify the type of license that you want to add. The type of the current license is filled in automatically, but you can specify another license type.
- Create Link to Source
- Indicates whether the new licenses will be linked as children to the current license.
- Copy Information
- Select the check boxes for the information that you want to copy
to the new licenses.
For example, you can copy application data, details, and attachments to the new applications.
Note: The ability to copy attachments is only supported if you are using an IPS provider in EDM Setup. For an IPS provider, group add will create new links to any existing attachment records in the ATTCHMT table that are associated with the source record.For all other EDM providers, group add does not create links or copies of the attachments because the information needed to link an attachment to an application is stored in the EDM provider, not the database.
- Copy Links
- Select the check boxes for the links that you want to copy to the new licenses.
- Primary Site
- Select the option that indicates how you want to select the
primary sites for the new licenses.
You can select Copy Primary Site, Enter Primary Sites, or None.
If you selected Copy Primary Site or None, specify the number of licenses you want to create in the # to Create field. Infor Public Sector will add the number of licenses you indicate.
If you selected Enter Primary Sites, you can enter the primary sites for the new licenses manually in the grid under Primary Site, or you can click Map Drawer and select Show License to choose sites from the map. Infor Public Sector will add a license for each primary site that you select.
- Click Save.
