Comments toolbar buttons for the modern interface

The Comments toolbar provides basic word processing tools that you can use to format text in Comments fields. For example, you can make text bold or italic, change the text color, or create numbered and bulleted lists. This table describes each button on the modern interface Comments toolbar.

Note: You can also use key combinations, such as Ctrl+B to make selected text bold.

Button Name Use
Text format Choose Font Style Formats the font style as Normal Text or Headings.
Font color Text Color Changes the color of the selected text.
Bold Toggle Bold Text Makes selected text bold.
Italics Toggle Italic Text Makes selected text italic.
Underline Toggle Underline Text Underlines selected text.
Strikethrough Toggle Strike Through Text Strikes through selected text.
Text left Align Left Aligns selected text to the left.
Text center Align Center Centers selected text.
Text right Align Right Aligns selected text to the right.
Number list Insert/Remove Numbered List Formats the selection as a numbered list.
Bullet list Insert/Remove Bulleted List Formats the selection as a bulleted list.
Block quote Block Quote Formats the selection as a quote.
Hyperlink Insert Hyperlink Inserts a hyperlink.
Insert image Insert Image Inserts an image.
Clear Clear Formatting Returns the selection to the default format.
HTML View Source Shows the HTML markup in the Comments field.
