Generating asset inspections

  1. Select Asset Management > Assets > [asset module].
  2. On the tab for the correct asset type, click Lookup Inspection Schedules.
  3. Look up the inspection schedule that you want to use to generate inspections.
  4. Select the correct inspection schedule.
    Note: You can select more than one inspection schedule in the list to generate multiple inspections simultaneously.
  5. Click Action, and select Generate Inspections.
    The Select Date Range dialog box shows today's date.
  6. Specify the date through which you want to generate inspections in the Generate inspections through a due date of field.
    Inspections will not be generated outside of the date range indicated by the Cycle From and Cycle To dates in the inspection schedule.
  7. Click OK.
    An inspection is generated for each schedule that you selected and a list of the inspections and their inspection type, asset, and scheduled/due date is shown. You can click the Inspection # link to view and update an inspection in the Inspection InfoViewer.
